Verizon unlimited calls & data plans rumored
Verizon are rumored to be preparing a new brace of unlimited calling and data plans, ready for announcement and launch on Tuesday this week. The packages would begin at $100/mo for unlimited calls in the US with no roaming charges, rising to $120 with unlimited messaging added, $140 for the addition of VCAST video and VZ Navigator, $150 for unlimited e-mail added and finally $170 for the addition of unlimited international data. Verizon will also offer Family Plans which provide similar rates for multiple lines. According to reports, the move would also mark the end of the 5GB data limit currently implemented, although it is unclear whether this would apply solely to mobile internet viewed on a handset or be extended to devices tethered to a laptop. However the suggestion is that at the very least, any information accessed through Verizon's own portal would be unlimited on any device.
Rumor has it that both one and two year contracts will be available, and that existing subscribers can switch to the new tariffs without extending their current contract.
