Samsung pico-projector could launch Q2 2008
Unlike Texas Instruments, who are only predicting 2009 for pico-projectors to hit the market, Samsung are apparently roaring ahead with their Micro Projector for cellphones. The compact box can project an image 10 to 20-inches onto the nearest surface, making it ideal for reviewing photos and mobile TV as well as setting up impromptu video calls.
With a wired connection, it appears that the projector will only support Samsung handsets (although that could change before launch); there are also no details regarding battery life, which models will be compatible or price.
According to Samsung, the Micro Projector could launch as soon as Q2 2008.
