Alienware Android cellphone concept

I'm not one to be unduly critical of cellphone concepts - well okay, that's a lie - but sometimes a design exercise comes along that just makes you cringe.  One such example is this, Jas Seehra's Alienware Android cellphone concept.  Based around the patchy rumor that Dell are considering entering the cellphone market using Google's new platform, and borrowing heavily from Dell-acquisition Alienware's design language, the rather monstrous ridged handset really is too much desktop PC and not pocket-friendly enough.

It's a shame, really, because the idea of an Alienware-branded handset that focusses on mobile gaming is a decent one.  Rumors of a PSP-style cellphone from Sony continue to surface periodically, and Nokia are rejuvinating their N-Gage platform as a download service.  Dell could certainly carve out a niche that borrows heavily from their gaming subsiduary's kudos and the open-source potential of Android.  Just please, don't let it look like this!
