According to Electronista, popular social network MySpace is preparing a mobile application for the iPhone and iPod Touch that has been crafted using early access to the official Apple SDK.  While details of the software's functionality are unknown, it is being described as "impressive" compared to existing mobile versions of the site such as offered by Helio and other carriers.  However, unless Apple also announce Adobe Flash support at tomorrow's SDK Roadmap event, it looks unlikely that the MySpace video and music catalogue will be available.

The app is known to be the work of a small team coding part-time on the project, and is apparently close to release standard.  However no date has been set for availability, whether for reasons of coding or because Apple's distribution method for third-party software has not been established.  It's also unclear as to whether MySpace will be charging for the app or releasing it as free software.
