Cricket might not be one of the first US carriers to spring to your mind, but that doesn't mean they've forgotten about you. In fact, if you live in Tulsa, Oklahoma, are looking for a tri-band clamshell that is the first CDMA handset to support the 1700MHz band from the 2006 AWS frequency auctions, and aren't a fan of swish external displays, then the
UTStarcom CDM-7126 might be just the handset you've been waiting for.
The CDM-7126 also has Bluetooth, voice recognition and 1xRTT data access; apparently it'll be released in Las Vegas and Oklahoma City at some point during this year, whenever the 1700MHz network is available there.
No indication of price, but it looks to be relatively budget.
